One of the greatest challenges a leader faces is how to bring their people along with them on the journey to apostolicity. Meeting this challenge requires intentional change. The critical questions are not whether change is needed, but what must change, in what order, and how to do so without disrupting apostolic momentum or fracturing the body.

Few leaders are equipped to lead complex, systemic change. Making sure people are not left behind when ministries move forward is simply not taught in seminaries or ministry conferences. Some of the challenges are that change without apostolic insight becomes mechanical; change without administrative wisdom lacks decency and order; and change without change discipline becomes chaotic — all of which undermine the leader’s pursuit of Kingdom outcomes.
